Arrival: A New World
They arrive at a vibrant, alien planet, bathed in the light of a binary sun. The landscape is unlike anything they've ever imagined, filled with strange flora and an atmosphere of gentle wonder.
The hum of the engines, once a hesitant sputter, now settled into a steady, reassuring thrum. Leo’s nose was pressed against the viewport, his breath fogging the glass in his excitement. Beside him, Arthur’s hand rested lightly on the controls, his gaze a mixture of pride and watchful care. They had travelled further than Leo had ever dreamed, beyond the familiar twinkle of stars that adorned his bedroom ceiling. And now, a swirl of colours, like a cosmic watercolour painting, had begun to fill their view.
“We’re getting close, Leo,” Arthur said, his voice a low rumble, tinged with awe. “Look at that sky.”
Leo’s eyes widened. It wasn't just one sun painting the sky; it was two. One, a brilliant, molten gold, cast long, warm shadows. The other, a softer, sapphire blue, bathed everything in an ethereal glow. The light mingled, creating a dizzying spectrum of greens, violets, and oranges across the swirling clouds. The planet below was a tapestry of colours that defied earthly description. Emerald forests shimmered with an inner luminescence, rivers flowed with streaks of silver, and mountains, instead of being grey stone, seemed to be carved from amethyst.
