Chapter 13

Russo's Clever Solution

Barnaby and Dottie look nervously at the massive spider web, unsure how to proceed without getting stuck. Russo, however, observes the situation with her keen intellect. She spots a long, fallen branch nearby. "I have an idea!" she announces. Using the branch, Russo carefully devises a way to gently nudge the web, dislodging the clue without touching the sticky strands herself. With a final, precise maneuver, she guides the clue towards the edge of the web, where Barnaby can safely retrieve it. Her clever thinking saves the day, and they avoid becoming spider-web snacks.

He nudged a stray strand with his nose, and it immediately clung to his fur. He yelped and tried to shake it off, only succeeding in getting more stuck. "Oh, fur balls!" he yelped.
