Is there a Squibler mobile app? Using Squibler on iPhone and Android
Squibler runs in the browser, and its own release notes show how far the phone experience goes. Here is what that means for writing a book on your phone.

At a glance
- On the check date, Squibler’s official changelog described improvements for mobile browsers, a mobile-optimized checkout and a “Mobile Lite” view for reading a generated book. It did not announce a native iOS or Android app.
- A search of the US App Store for “Squibler” on the same date returned no listing published by Squibler. A similarly named app, “SquibWrite: Writing Assistant”, comes from a different developer and is a separate product.
- To use Squibler on a phone, open squibler.io in your mobile browser and sign in. If you want a native phone app for planning and drafting a book with AI, alternatives include AIBookCraft (“AI Book Writer Story Maker” on the App Store, “AI Book Writer Story Generator” on Google Play) and Sudowrite’s companion app.
Does Squibler have an iPhone or Android app?
Squibler is a web app. Its public “What’s New” changelog is the most direct official record of how it treats phones, and on the check date every mobile entry concerned the browser: an improved reading and editing experience on mobile browsers (March 2025), a fix so that switching from mobile to desktop mode no longer kept the mobile layout (January 2025), and a payment flow split into two mobile-optimized steps (August 2026).
In January 2025 the changelog also introduced a “Mobile Lite” version that lets people read through their generated book on a phone, noting that this had previously been disabled on mobile devices. None of these entries announce a native App Store or Google Play app. So the precise answer is: Squibler on a phone means Squibler in a mobile browser, with a lighter experience than on a computer.
What you can do with Squibler on a phone
The table below maps the changelog entries to everyday tasks. It is a reading of Squibler’s own notes, not a test, and Squibler can change its mobile experience at any time, so check the changelog for newer entries.
| Task | What Squibler’s changelog says | Practical takeaway |
|---|---|---|
| Read a generated book | Mobile Lite lets you read through your generated book (Jan 2025) | Reviewing a draft on a phone is supported |
| Read and edit in a phone browser | Improved reading and editing on mobile browsers, including book preview (Mar 2025) | Light edits are possible; long sessions are easier on a computer |
| Choose or change a plan | Payment flow split into two mobile-optimized steps (Aug 2026) | You can subscribe from a phone browser, not through an app store |
| Install from a store | No native app announced | Bookmark squibler.io or add it to your home screen |
Is “SquibWrite” or another store app the official Squibler?
On the check date, searching the US App Store for “Squibler” returned writing apps from several developers, including “SquibWrite: Writing Assistant” by NextPixel Apps. None was published by Squibler, and Squibler’s site does not link to a store app. Treat any such listing as a separate product: a Squibler subscription does not carry over, and it cannot open your Squibler books.
We found the same pattern for NovelAI and Novelcrafter, whose names also appear on third-party listings. A one-minute check avoids paying for the wrong product.
- Compare the listing’s seller or developer name with the company named on the official website.
- Look for a link to the listing from the official site, help center or changelog.
- If you started a trial by mistake, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions; deleting the app does not cancel it.

How to keep Squibler one tap away on your phone
Because Squibler runs in the browser, the closest thing to an app icon is a home-screen shortcut. Menu wording varies by browser version.
- Sign in once in that browser; clearing site data signs you out.
- Rotate to landscape or use a keyboard case for longer editing sessions.
| Phone | Browser | Steps |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone | Safari | Open squibler.io, tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen |
| Android | Chrome | Open squibler.io, open the menu, choose Add to home screen |

Squibler alternatives with a native phone app
If writing mostly happens on your phone, a native app can matter more than any single feature. These are documented options; each suits a different working style.
| Option | Phone availability | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Squibler | Mobile browser, Mobile Lite reading view | Generating and editing a book mainly on a computer |
| Sudowrite | Official iOS and Android companion app plus web | Dictation and revision on the phone |
| AIBookCraft | Official iOS and Android apps plus web | Planning a book and drafting chapter by chapter on the phone |
| NovelAI | Mobile browser, installable as a web app | Open-ended story generation in its own editor |

If you want a native app: AIBookCraft on iPhone and Android
AIBookCraft is an AI-assisted book-writing product from SecondEarth AI, Inc. On the App Store it is listed as “AI Book Writer Story Maker” and on Google Play as “AI Book Writer Story Generator”; both are the AIBookCraft app. The mobile apps support developing an idea, outlining, drafting chapters, creating a cover, public sharing and PDF or DOCX export, with access depending on the plan and action.
The same account opens your books on the web, where a free account supports manual chapter writing and editing and Pro adds AI chapter drafting. It is a different tool with a different workflow, not a mobile version of Squibler, and we make no claim that its prose is better. Compare both on a short sample of your own.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a Squibler app on Google Play? Squibler’s changelog describes mobile-browser support rather than a store app. If you find a listing with a similar name, check who publishes it.
Can I write a whole book with Squibler on my phone? You can read and make edits in a mobile browser, and Mobile Lite is built for reading a generated book. For long drafting sessions, a computer or a native writing app is more comfortable.
Can I pay for Squibler from my phone? Yes, in the browser. The August 2026 changelog entry describes a mobile-optimized payment flow; the subscription is with Squibler, not with Apple or Google.
Which is better on a phone, Squibler or a native app? It depends on where you write. If you draft on a computer and review on the go, the browser is enough; if the phone is your main desk, try a native app on the same short scene.
