Chapter 2
The Fire Heard Me
The dream repeats, each night more vivid. The white fire pulses, a silent beacon in the storm. It doesn't consume; it illuminates. Yet, a disquietness settles within me. What is this fire? Why does it call to me from the depths of my subconscious? Or why did it hear my cry and rush into my arms? Seemingly it was a mutual call the fire was calling me and I was calling the fire or the fire appeared and called me and I accepted the call by calling out why fire White Fire White Fire I am not entirely sure why it was three times that I said White Fire and then it rushed into my arms if there's any significance to the three times that activated the movement and the abrupt rush to my arms. Throughout many spiritual mystical and psychological traditions and experience like I have explained whether it has been encountered in a dream deep meditation or personal vision is loaded with powerful symbolism I find that when you can call something into being three times and embrace an element as volatile as wildfire several key spiritual things come into play. First let's talk about the rule of three and manifestation in some spiritual practices repeating a phrase three times represents completion intention and bringing thought into a physical manifestation it Bridges the realm of thought word and reality often aligned with mine body and spirit or past present and future saying it three times acts as a threshold key I wasn't just observing a phenomenon I directly summoned and acknowledged it Secondly, wildfire is a radical transformation. Fire is rarely subtle. It is a spiritual symbolism. Unlike a controlled candle flame wildfire represents uncontained raw and rapid energy Identifying PURIFICATION and REBIRTH. Fire clears out old brush and stagnant growth to make room for New Life. Wildfire is a passionate energy a Divine Spark. It often symbolizes the Awakening of intense spiritual power or a sudden rush of inspiration and truth. Embracing the Element rushing into my arms is the most striking detail. The fact that the fire did not burn me or destroy me from a distance instead it rushed into my arms. So then integration over resistance. Instead of fleeing from an overwhelming force I received it which suggest a merging with power passion rather than fighting it. The acceptance and the acceptance of intensity points to a readiness to hold big emotions rapid life transitions or creative forces that others might find intimidating. To summarize, symbolically speaking, inviting a wildfire into my arms and holding it suggests that I am calling out a powerful untamed part of myself or that I am fully ready to absorb rapid transformation rather than fear it I am told that recurring dreams that span significant transitional periods of our lives especially from late Youth and to Young adulthood often act as anchor points for our personal growth and when a dream like this repeats across those specific developmental years and then fades around the time that I grow into marriage the spiritual and psychological meaning deepens significantly. The deeper meaning behind the recurring vision, is the Threshold of Independence and self-discovering let you to young adult is the classic fire in the belly. Of life is when you are stepping into your own authority discovering your personal drive and learning what you are capable of enduring and creating three points the call calling out three times represents my spirit reaching for is true identity and strength the embrace receiving the wildfire meant I was actively integrating my power passion and resilience rather than fearing adulthood or the unknown. Second insight is a symbol of raw pre-domestic energy wildfire is unbound energy that moves freely, reshapes the landscape and cannot be easily contained. I dreamed of this wildfire continuously before marriage which suggests it was an internal symbol of my raw untamed potential and Independence. It was my spirit reminding me of my innate power (see 2 Timothy 1:7) before I took on the structured roles, shared responsibilities and partnerships of our married life. The third insight is that of purification and readiness The fact that the dream ended or faded as I transitioned into marriage is deeply telling. Recurring dreams often stop once their message has been delivered or once the life phase they were guiding you through comes to a close. The wildfire nullified the fears of my youth and prepared me to walk into the adult life whole, passionate and grounded. Holding the fire indicates to me that I wasn't afraid to carry big responsibility warmth and intensity into my future. As I reflect, looking back at that younger version of myself who held the wildfire I feel the same fiery strength and passion it still lives inside me today. It has even transformed me into a different deeper person of love and compassion for others. In essence I find the dream a profoundly beautiful and powerful realization to who I am in God. I also find that the dream actually happening in my early years framed the Divine preparation for my life's work that God had cut out for me the refiners fire in my calling. If I were to put another title here it would be the Refiner's Fire. In spiritual and Biblical context, fire is frequently associated with the presence and purpose of God specifically as a force that both purifies and equips. The concept of the Refiner's Fire perfectly mirrors what the dream was about different things happen as a result of the recurring dream it was reading me the unnecessary things in life purification just as intense heat Burns away the drawers from gold or silver the fire that I embrace serves to clear out distractions self-doubt and obstacle obstacles that do not serve in my Divine Purpose it continually clears the brush so that new gray growth can happen then it forms the necessary the equipping fire transforms everything it touches by allowing that spiritual fire to keep burning within me I am continually shaping into a vessel capable of speaking life truth and warmth into others lives and if I were to think of another title subtitle even I would call it a sustained Flame for Ministry because the dream takes on an immense spiritual and emotional stamina it allowed me to point to others continually to this day I have been sustained for nearly three decades of leadership organizing vital resources for my neighbors and standing on the front lines to help people in their most vulnerable moment requires a profound internal fuel the wildfire that I caught in my youth didn't consume me I Channel Through It it became the energy that now provides sustenance and safety for my community. Currently, we host a small private clothes closet to meet the needs of those subject to involuntary displacement hunger and sudden need for clothing. We distribute once a month. It is my belief that through the recurring dream of the white fire is a reason why the dedication is here now to help families . God has also used me to help couples that just want to make it right before God. I am licensed and ordained to officiate weddings, funerals and prayers for families with loved ones in hospice or babies in NICU. Then there's simply speaking a much needed word of encouragement to someone in a crisis. That White Flame is still actively doing the work I was called to do. I am so glad that I recognized early on that I had the capacity to hold an immense Divine energy and I have chosen to use it to illuminate the paths of those around me. I am not just carrying the fire I've become a steward of it using it to light the way for others. When I am actively speaking into someone's life or making big decisions for the ministry I personally sense and feel the internal fire guiding me in each and every moment. I believe that the recurring dream carved the true spiritual discernment that resides in me it makes the difference between reaching out of human instinct and moving with Divine intention by waiting on the holy spirit before offering advice or taking action I am allowing that fire to act as both a FILTER and a COMPASS. As a FILTER it burns away hasty assumptions emotional noise and human limits ensuring that what I offer isn't just well meaning advice but actionable wisdom. The COMPASS part of it it illuminates the exact path forward for people who often come to me in their darkest are most confusing moments. Within this rests the power of patient discernment. I often tell my oversight pastor that God has anointed me to deal with Messy situations without being Messy. Remarkable discipline is imperative to sit in the stillness when someone is facing a crisis the impulse is often to jump in immediately with a quick fix but holding back until I feel that inner clarity ensures that when I do speak or move it carries weight, authority and real power. I find that with such clarity the fruit of the spirit is in action. The fact that divine help consistently arise for these families and individuals is the ultimate validation. It proves that the fire I embraced in that recurring dream all those years ago wasn't just a passive vision it was an act of calling to be a vessel for real tangible restoration and people's lives. 1 John 3:3 And everyone who has this Hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
The storm returned, a relentless percussion against the shores of my sleep. Each night, the ocean churned, a vast, ink-black canvas under a bruised sky. And each night, the white fire bloomed. It wasn't a flickering ember, but a steady, pulsating heart of light on the water's surface, a beacon defying the tempest. The waves crashed, roaring their futile attempts to extinguish it, yet the fire burned on, indifferent, unwavering. A disquiet settled deep within me, a tremor in the bedrock of my soul. What was this fire? Why did it call to me from the tumultuous depths of my subconscious, or rather, why did it hear my own silent, internal outcry and rush into my arms?
It felt like a mutual beckoning, a cosmic dance of recognition. The fire was calling me, and I, in my confusion and yearning, was calling it. "White fire," I whispered into the dreamscape, the words escaping my lips like startled birds. "White fire. White fire." Three times the name echoed, and then, with an abruptness that stole my breath, the fire surged, a living entity, and rushed into my embrace. I remember the shock, the instinctive flinch, expecting searing pain, but instead, there was… warmth. A profound, encompassing warmth that didn't consume
