Chapter 10
Navigating the Maze
Alex implements advanced survival tactics, testing the limits of their stalkers and learning to disrupt their operations without direct confrontation.

Chapter nine had been about building the defenses, fortifying the psyche. Now, it was time to turn the fortress into a trap. I needed to move beyond mere survival and into active disruption, to become a phantom in my own life, always one step ahead, always out of reach.
My days had become a symphony of calculated chaos. I’d learned that the most effective weapon against a swarm was to make the whole swarm deafening. I’d started varying my route, not just by a few blocks, but by entire neighborhoods. I’d take the earliest bus, then a later one. I’d walk for miles, then hail a cab from a district I’d never usually visit. I’d pack a lunch, then stop at a different cafe each day, ordering something entirely new. It was exhausting, this constant improvisation, but the small victories – the confused glances, the missed connections, the subtle shifts in the ambient hum of surveillance – were exhilarating.
