Thea traced the faded calligraphy on the brittle parchment, her fingers dusty and trembling. The air in the library, usually thick with the scent of aged paper and forgotten secrets, now felt charged, humming with an unseen energy that prickled her skin. The sorcerer’s whispers, once a silken caress against her thoughts, had become a relentless tide, urging her deeper into the labyrinth of her family’s history.
