Chapter 15
A Plea for Trust
Lyra pleads with Elara to trust him, to believe in their love as a shield against the encroaching evil. He confesses the true depth of his feelings and the sacrifices he's willing to make.

Now, with the whispers of the night growing louder, with the shadows in the woods seeming to stretch and writhe with a life of their own, his plea felt like a desperate gamble.
