The current, a ribbon of pure, vibrant Lumina, pulled me onward, a playful tug that felt more like a welcoming embrace than a forceful drag. My little submersible, the *Starfish*, usually so steady, bobbed and weaved with an eagerness I hadn’t felt from it before. Outside the reinforced viewport, the usual blues and greens of the ocean floor began to melt away, replaced by an astonishing spectrum of light. It wasn’t just the gentle glow of scattered Lumina plankton; this was a symphony, a cascade of soft golds, shimmering silvers, and deep, resonant purples, all pulsing in time with the current that carried me.

My heart thrummed a rhythm against my ribs, a faster beat than even the most exciting discovery on a familiar reef. This was… different. The Lumina here felt alive, singing a song that resonated deep within my bones. My fingers traced the cool glass of the viewport, my breath misting the surface as I tried to absorb it all. I was a cartographer, my life dedicated to mapping the known, to filling in the blanks on ancient charts. But this felt like charting the impossible, like stepping into a dream woven from pure light.
