Chapter 12
Allies in the Abyss
Elara forms bonds with unique, powerful sea creatures. They offer their strength and knowledge, ready to aid her in her quest to save the Lumina.
The kelp forest, usually a vibrant emerald tapestry swaying in the gentle currents, seemed hushed, its fronds drooping as if in sympathy with the unease that had settled in my heart. And in this profound darkness, punctuated by the otherworldly glow of the Lumina, I had found them.
The first to emerge from the swirling, phosphorescent mist was a creature of ancient, silent grace. The Lumina sings of your courage.”*
I, a mere cartographer, felt a tremor of awe run through me. I had always felt a kinship with the ocean, a deep love for its mysteries, but this… this was beyond anything I had ever imagined. “You… you know me?” I stammered, my voice a small, reedy sound in the vastness.
