Chapter 8
The Guardian's Purpose
The map pointed towards the Celestial Peaks, the supposed dwelling of an ancient guardian. The prophecy spoke of this being, the one who held the key to the elements' return, but also the reason for their departure.

No crackle of fire in hearths, no whisper of wind through leaves, no rush of water in the streams. The very air felt thin, devoid of the elemental symphony that had once defined existence. People moved like ghosts, their faces etched with a profound, unsettling emptiness. The prophecy, a cryptic tapestry woven by forgotten bards, had spoken of this desolation, of a time when the elements would flee, and of the one who held the keys to their return. And here, in these desolate heights, it pointed them towards the source.
