Oh Great Spirit,Creator of all the the eye Brother Eagle can see
Oh Great Spirit, Creator of all that the eye of Brother Eagle can see, You who painted the mountains with the brush of your divine decree, You who carved the canyons with a whisper, a sigh, And set the stars ablaze in the canvas of the sky.
You who breathed life into the sagebrush, silver and green, And gave the pronghorn its speed, a fleeting, graceful scene. You who blessed the piñon with nuts, a harvest of the earth, And taught the river to sing of its life-giving worth.
We, your children of the dust, the Paiute and the Shoshone, Have walked this land since time began, a spirit deeply known. Our hearts beat with the rhythm of the seasons, Our souls are bound to this earth for all its reasons.
