The last tendrils of the storm’s fury receded, leaving behind a hushed, shimmering stillness. Lily, still cradling the last of the glowing sea anemones, felt the gentle pulse of the underwater garden settle back into its rhythmic ebb and flow. The water, moments ago roiling with an angry energy, now felt like a silken blanket, each ripple a soft caress. She looked around, her eyes wide with wonder, at the coral branches that had swayed and bowed to the storm’s will, now standing tall and vibrant once more. The little fish, who had darted into hidden crevices, now peeked out, their scales flashing like scattered jewels in the diffused light.
Beside her, the Old Sea Turtle let out a long, slow breath, his ancient eyes reflecting the calm that had returned. “You see, little one,” he rumbled, his voice a gentle tide against the quiet, “the garden is not merely a place. It is a feeling. A breath. A reflection.”
Lily turned to him, the anemone’s soft glow illuminating her face. “A reflection?” she echoed, her voice barely a whisper.
