Chapter 15
The Heart of Nervel
The confrontation moves to the city's emotional core. Ichi and Kiko face The Weaver and their most personal, devastating abstract yet.
The heart of Nervel pulsed with a sickening thrum, a discordant beat that resonated not through stone and steel, but through the very ink that bound our city. It was here, beneath the gilded domes of the Grand Archives, where the city's history was meticulously preserved, that the Weaver had chosen to plant their final, venomous seed. Chapter 14 had ended with the city reeling, the Abstract of Fear a monstrous, writhing entity that had nearly drowned our finest ink warriors. Now, with a grim determination that settled like a shroud, Kiko and I moved towards the source.

The memory of Anya’s laugh, sharp and clear, would flash behind my eyes, a ghost I couldn’t outrun.
Kiko walked beside me, her movements fluid and precise, a stark contrast to the storm brewing within me. Her face, usually a mask of cool composure, was etched with a subtle tension. Her natural inks, gravity and phase, were masters of control, of manipulating the very fabric of reality, but even she couldn’t command the roiling emotions that now seeped from the ground.
