The air in The Viper Room thrummed, a living, breathing entity vibrating with anticipation. It was the kind of electric charge that settled deep in your bones, the kind that made your teeth hum. Lyric, front and center, felt it coursing through him, a primal jolt that had nothing and everything to do with the legacy strapped to his back. Tonight, that legacy was a whisper, a distant hum beneath the roaring present. Tonight, it was all about Crimson Reign The Legacy, and more importantly, about the girl who had rewritten his entire soundtrack.

He glanced at Talia, a quick, almost furtive look that felt like stealing a forbidden jewel. She stood beside him, radiating a quiet, confident power that belied the nervous flutter he knew was there. Her sequined top caught the stage lights, scattering them like a thousand tiny disco balls, and her eyes, dark and luminous, met his with a spark that ignited a wildfire in his gut. This wasn’t the smoky haze of a Velvet Venom concert, all hairspray and leather. This was something cleaner, brighter, a fusion of raw energy and a sun-drenched rhythm he’d never known he was missing.

“Ready, Blackwell?” she whispered, her voice a low purr that somehow cut through the din of the crowd.
