Before her, bathed in a soft, phosphorescent glow, sat a figure. It was difficult to discern its form clearly, as if it were woven from the very shadows that clung to the chamber walls, yet it possessed a definite presence, a gravity that anchored the swirling unease within her. It was neither distinctly male nor female, but something that transcended such simple definitions, a being that seemed to hold within it the weight of countless ages. Its eyes, when they finally met hers, were pools of liquid starlight, ancient and impossibly deep, reflecting not just her image, but something far more profound – the very essence of her being.
