Their search leads them through the house, following a trail of Elara's peculiar 'clues' – a misplaced teacup, a forgotten knitting project, and a riddle about a sleepy cat.

The living room, usually a riot of Elara’s colourful knitting projects and Leo’s discarded LEGO bricks, now felt like a crime scene. Except, of course, the ‘crime’ was a missing necklace and the ‘detectives’ were a sprightly old woman with a twinkle in her eye and two grandchildren who were rapidly discovering that searching for something lost could be a rather ticklish business.
“Right then, my little sleuths!” Elara declared, her voice booming with theatrical flair. She tapped a finger on her chin, a gesture that usually preceded a particularly outlandish story. “The trail of breadcrumbs, or in this case, perhaps, biscuit crumbs, must lead us somewhere!”
