Chapter 16
Awakening the Town

The air in Oakhaven had always held a certain quietude, a gentle hum of predictable days. But now, something new was stirring, a subtle shift that tickled the edges of consciousness like the first hint of a forgotten melody. She spoke of the way the air felt different, lighter, alive with a thousand tiny, joyful sounds Elara had never noticed before. “It’s like the world is singing, Elara,” she’d exclaimed, her laughter tinkling like wind chimes. “And I can finally hear it.” She pointed to a cluster of leaves that pulsed with a soft, internal glow. “Look, they’re breathing! Can you see it?” And Elara, her own senses slowly unfurling, nodded, a thrill of shared discovery coursing through her.
