Chapter 5
The Architect's Design
Sylvia uncovers Thorne's secret dealings, revealing a network of corruption. Mercer's motives become clearer, as he seeks to exploit the chaos created by Thorne's potential downfall.

The window she chose was grimy, but a careful application of a chemical solvent, a small vial conjured from the depths of her coat’s lining, rendered it momentarily transparent. Inside, a dimly lit office pulsed with hushed conversation.
