Baleigh, Raegan, and Rachel drifted, their wings still humming with the residual energy of their escape. The air tasted cleaner, sweeter, tinged with the faint scent of stardust and moon-moss, scents they had always taken for granted. Now, they were a symphony of home, each note resonating with a newfound appreciation.

Baleigh, ever the leader, was the first to break the silence. Her voice, usually brimming with an eager curiosity, was softer now, tinged with awe. "Did… did that really happen?"

Raegan, her brow furrowed in thought, adjusted the delicate bloom of moonpetal she'd tucked behind her ear. "It did, Baleigh. The Lumina Flora, the Whispering Willows, even that… that shadow creature. It was all real." She shivered, not from cold, but from the lingering unease of the encounter. The shadow creature, with its shifting form and mournful cries, had been more than just a physical obstacle; it had been a puzzle, a creature born of a loneliness they could almost, but not quite, understand.
