Faced with the shadow creature's attempts to keep them, the fairies must combine their unique moonbeam magic with Baleigh's bravery, Raegan's planning, and Rachel's empathy to outwit their adversary.
The air grew thick, not with the usual gentle mist of their moonbeam, but with a heavy, clinging darkness. The shadow creature, a swirling mass of inky tendrils and glinting eyes, had cornered them. It pulsed with an energy that felt both ancient and lonely, its whispers weaving through the strange, glowing foliage like a chilling lullaby.
"You do not belong here," it hissed, its voice like rustling leaves on a cold night. "This world is not for your light. Stay. Stay and be as dark as I."
Baleigh felt a prickle of fear, but her gaze, always sharp, darted around. The shadow creature's tendrils were beginning to snake out, not to harm, but to ensnare, to weave a wall of darkness around them. "We *do* belong," Baleigh declared, her voice surprisingly steady. "We came here to see, not to stay forever."
