Kareem watched Sadia from across the living room, a faint smile playing on his lips. The afternoon sun, a warm embrace, streamed through the windows, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air like tiny, golden sprites. Sadia was engrossed in her phone, her brow furrowed in concentration, a posture Kareem had come to associate with her deepest thoughts. He loved her, truly and deeply. Their marriage, blessed by Allah, was a testament to that love, a sacred bond built on shared prayers and whispered dreams. He remembered their wedding day, the scent of jasmine heavy in the air, the gentle murmur of blessings, the feeling of Sadia’s hand, cool and delicate, in his.
