It wasn't the absence of noise, but the gentle settling of dust after a storm, a hushed reverence for the peace that had been hard-won. Sachi traced the rim of her teacup, the delicate porcelain cool against her fingertips. Across the small, sun-drenched table, Christian’s gaze was steady, a familiar warmth radiating from him that always managed to soothe the restless flutter in her chest. Graduation was a breath away, a tangible finish line after years of diligent study, but it was the quiet understanding that had solidified between them that felt like the true accomplishment.

“It’s strange, isn’t it?” Sachi murmured, her voice soft, almost a whisper against the morning light. “We’re so close to the end, and yet… it feels like we’re just beginning.”

Christian reached across the table, his large hand covering hers. His touch was grounding, a silent anchor. “That’s the beauty of it, mon amour. We’ve built something that can withstand a bit of turbulence. The storms don’t break us anymore; they just make us stronger.”
