Graduation was behind them, a blur of triumphant cheers, proud smiles, and the satisfying weight of diplomas clutched in their hands. Now, the vast, shimmering expanse of their future lay before them, a landscape both exhilarating and, for Sachi, a little daunting.
They sat on the plush velvet sofa, a half-empty bottle of champagne chilling in an ice bucket between them. Sunlight, softened by the sheer curtains, painted golden stripes across the polished floor.
