The hum of the computer was a familiar lullaby to Darius, a constant companion in his small room, which had become the command center for his burgeoning YouTube dream. Sunlight, dappled through the blinds, painted shifting patterns on his desk, illuminating the organized chaos of cables, microphones, and a beloved, slightly battered camera. He’d just finished uploading his latest video, a goofy compilation of his attempts at a popular online challenge. The numbers were ticking up, slowly but surely, each notification a tiny spark of validation.

Jannik, sprawled on Darius’s bed with a controller in his hand, paused his game. “Another one bites the digital dust, eh?” he grinned, his voice warm and easy.
