A middle aged nasa scientist is tasked to visit the planet of violetha to collect information and resources and go back home. When he arrives he is greeted by the locals of the planet that tell him that there planet is slowly killing the population due to mercury being released onto the planet accidentally by nasa. The protagonist returns home despite the call for help from the people of violetha and half way on his space journey home he turns the ship around back to violetha to help the people. However its to late and the population is gone all that remains is shadows of purple figures of the fallen. These shadows can communicate but cant touch or feel anything. The strongest reincarnate first so its just the king that talks to the protagonist. He tells him that he needs to build a device that will transform the souls back to life to save the planet but the king doesnt know how so the protagonist must figure out on his own or wait for the scientist to wake up. After months building the protagonist is finished and brings the king back to life just as a scientist wakes up and is shocked at the amount of power the machine is using. It's to much for the planet to handle and cracks the core open eventually exploding the planet of violetha as the protagonist drifts of into space and back into his ship alive
