The city lights below shimmered like scattered diamonds as Lila stood on the balcony, the cool night air a welcome caress against her skin. Ethan’s voice, a low rumble that had always held a special resonance for her, broke the quiet. "Tonight is the night, Lila," he murmured, his gaze steady and warm. "No responsibilities. Just you, exploring what you truly want."
Sophie’s presence beside him was a vibrant counterpoint, her arm a silken band around Ethan’s waist. Her eyes, dark and full of a knowing amusement, met Lila’s.
