Chapter 22
Do You Dare,Are You Brave Enough
Come Dear Ones and follow the Phantom Trails...bla ha ha.......was that an Owl or maybe a Bat or wolf that You heard or was it a banshee......
Come, dear ones, and follow the phantom trails that crisscross Cache Valley. I've led you through spectral sorrows and historic haunts, through the whispers of the river and the cries of the Weeping Woman. I’ve felt the chill in the air at Saint Anne’s and witnessed the silent sentinels of Logan Regional. We’ve climbed the Wasatch peaks and listened to the wisdom of our elders, all while the wind in Logan Canyon carried its own secrets. We’ve ventured onto the farmlands and into the dark depths of the cave, piecing together fragmented tales and confronting the lingering spirits. The truth behind the tears, the unresolved energy of the retreat – these have been revealed. Yet, as I’ve said, the valley’s secrets are far from exhausted. The dead, they say, walk the grounds and hallways of every building in Cache County. You cannot escape the grey, billowy shadows and specters of our beautiful lands. Do the trees, bushes, flowers, and grasslands grow so lush because of the blood of the American Indian people and the pioneers who perished? The question hangs in the air, as persistent as the scent of sage after a rain. Now, the ultimate question remains: do you dare? Are you brave enough to step further, to truly listen to the echoes that surround us? Was that an owl you heard, its silent flight a brush of spectral wings? Or perhaps a bat, its erratic dance mirroring the uncertainty of the unknown? Maybe it was a wolf, its lonesome howl a primal lament carried on the night air. Or was it something else entirely? A banshee, perhaps, her mournful cry a harbinger of mysteries yet to be unveiled? The trails are here, waiting. The enigmas persist. The question is, will you answer their call? Spooky Night Nares to You All..Nighty Night.....
