Kuwait, a land of ancient sands and modern steel, was a ghost in the machine, a phantom limb of terror reaching across the globe. “Anything, Sharma?” Colonel Stone’s voice, a low rumble through the comms, cut through the silence. He was out there, somewhere in the labyrinthine streets of Kuwait City, his team a spectral presence hunting shadows.
