The afternoon sun, a gentle painter, dappled the park benches with shades of gold and emerald. Ife found himself drawn to this familiar spot, though his usual intention was to seek solitude, to let the rustling leaves and distant chatter serve as a muted soundtrack to his own introspective battles. Today, however, his gaze snagged on a scene unfolding under the shade of an ancient oak. It was Rihanna, her slight frame a study in delicate resilience, her hand resting lightly on Kella’s arm as they spoke.

Kella, ever the picture of earnest concern, leaned in, her brow furrowed with a sympathy that Ife, in his own turbulent world, often found himself either lacking or unable to express. Instead, she had offered him a kindness that had disarmed him more effectively than any argument could have. It was a kindness that didn't demand anything in return, a quiet offering that had chipped away at his defenses, brick by painstaking brick. He hadn't understood it then, this gentle persistence, this unwavering belief in the good within him, even when he struggled to see it himself.
