The air in the grand hall, usually alive with the hushed echoes of wealth and power, felt unusually still. Sunlight, filtered through the stained-glass windows depicting ancient heroes and their triumphs, cast a mosaic of muted colors across the polished marble floor. Athena, no longer Maya but a woman forged by fire and tempered by vengeance, stood before Sebastian. The weight of years, of loss, and of the relentless pursuit of justice had settled upon her, and for the first time, it felt lighter. The courtroom doors, once a gateway to her torment, now stood as a symbol of her victory. Tom, her father, stood beside her, his arm protectively around her shoulders, his eyes full of a love that Athena had only glimpsed in memories. A single tear traced a path down her cheek, a testament to the enduring ache in her heart.
