The air in the university quad buzzed with an energy that was both festive and subtly charged, a symphony of laughter, music, and the excited chatter of students. Lanterns, painted with whimsical designs and glowing with a soft, internal light, swayed gently from the branches of ancient trees, casting dancing shadows on the cobblestone paths. Panic began to bloom, a thorny vine wrapping around the joyous atmosphere.
