The hidden place was not grand, nor was it a cavern filled with glittering gems. Instead, it was a small, circular clearing nestled behind the old, overgrown botanical gardens, a place Lily and Tom had often bypassed on their bike rides, deeming it too wild and unkempt. Sunlight dappled through the thick canopy of ancient oaks, illuminating a single, moss-covered stone pedestal in the center of the clearing. It spoke of the town's founding, of a time when neighbors relied on each other for everything, of shared dreams and collective effort.
