Chapter 6
The Second Sock Surprise
Behind a dusty box, Tumper spots the missing sock! He triumphantly tosses it to Spilla, who catches it with a playful spin, ready to try it on.
The closet walls seemed to hum, a low thrum that vibrated through Tumper’s tiny claws and Spilla’s delicate hooves. It wasn’t just the echo of their earlier scurrying anymore; it was a full-blown melody, a cheerful, bouncy tune that filled the air with a vibrant, infectious energy. The hanging clothes, once just a jumble of fabric, now swayed and dipped with the rhythm, a forest of forgotten fashions dancing to an unseen orchestra. Tumper’s little dragon heart gave an excited flutter. This was it! This was the music they’d been hearing, the magic that had drawn them into this cavern of forgotten things.
“It’s a song!” Tumper chirped, his voice a little higher than usual, brimming with delight. He wiggled his tail, a spark of pure joy igniting in his chest. He loved music, loved the way it made his scales tingle and his wings want to beat out a rhythm. He glanced at Spilla, her ears perked, her eyes wide and bright, mirroring his own enthusiasm. She, too, seemed to feel the pulse of the closet, her body subtly swaying, a silent testament to the music’s power.
“It is a song!” Spilla agreed, her voice a soft, melodious echo. She took a tentative step, her hooves tapping lightly on the wooden floorboards, a soft *clip-clop* that seemed to fall perfectly into the melody. A grin spread across Tumper’s snout. This was more than just an exploration now; it was a performance, their very own private concert, staged amidst the musty depths of a forgotten wardrobe.
