Liora sat on the cold, stone floor, her knees drawn to her chest. Beside her, Tina’s presence was a warm, steady anchor. The weight of what had happened pressed down on Liora, a suffocating blanket woven from stolen moments and erased feelings. She had fought for truth, for justice, for the ghost of a mother she had finally seen, truly seen, in the heart of the artifact. But the fight was over, and now, the real work began.
