His hands, long and slender, rested on the polished surface of a grand piano, a silent testament to a life lived in luxury, a luxury built on a foundation of stolen moments and shattered lives.
“So,” Silas drawled, his voice smooth as polished marble, yet with an undercurrent of something sharp and dangerous, “you’ve finally stumbled upon the truth, little bird. Took you long enough.”
