The irony was a bitter pill, a taste he’d grown accustomed to. He, Kaito Ishikawa, the architect of justice in the echo timelines, was also the architect of their transgressions. The thefts, the data breaches, the carefully orchestrated disappearances – they were all him. A desperate, fragmented version of himself, driven by a terrifying glimpse of a future he couldn’t fully grasp but knew he had to prevent.

“Kaito, report!” Anya’s voice, sharp and laced with an impatience that was becoming a constant companion, crackled through his comm.
