Summoning Captain Zoomie

Russo knows that even the best detective agency needs a specialist. 'We need more than just our brains,' he tells Baby Bear. 'We need speed! We need a super sniffer! We need Captain Zoomie!' Baby Bear nods enthusiastically, already picturing their fast, furry friend. They rush to the window and let out a series of sharp barks, their signal for Captain Zoomie. Moments later, a blur of fur streaks across the yard, a whirlwind of excitement. Captain Zoomie arrives with a triumphant 'Woof!' and a wagging tail, ready for action, his keen eyes already scanning for clues.

The air in the cozy den still buzzed with the energy of crafting, though a sudden, cold wave of dread had washed over it. Glitter sparkled on the floor, half-finished heart cutouts lay scattered across the table, and the scent of cinnamon glue still lingered, but the most important ingredient for Valentine’s Day was gone. The box. The big, red, heart-covered box that held all their carefully chosen, lovingly signed Valentine’s cards. Gone. Vanished. Pilfered!

Russo, his usually bright eyes wide with a mixture of bewilderment and burgeoning determination, paced the length of the rug. His paws made soft thuds against the wool, each step a testament to his growing resolve. “This is no ordinary disappearance, Baby Bear,” he declared, his voice a low rumble, tinged with the dramatic flair that always accompanied a good mystery. “This is… a case!”

Baby Bear, his fluffy ears drooping slightly with concern, nodded. He’d been meticulously arranging a bouquet of paper roses when the alarm had been raised, and the sight of Russo’s investigative stance sent a familiar thrill through him, even amidst the panic. “It’s just… gone, Russo. Poof!”
