The spiderwebs now seem less frightening and more like intricate works of art. The forest, once a place of potential fear, is now a realm of wonder and respect.

The first rays of dawn, hesitant and soft, painted the eastern sky in hues of rose and gold, chasing away the last vestiges of the night’s deep indigo. Tina, Eva, and Kitty blinked awake, not to the chirping of birds or the rustling of leaves, but to a profound, echoing silence that had settled over their campsite. The ordeal of the previous night, Kitty’s bewildering disappearance and their subsequent, heart-pounding search, had left them drained but also strangely exhilarated. They stirred from their sleeping bags, their movements slow and tentative, the exhaustion still clinging to them like the dew on the morning grass.
