Chapter 8
The Creeper's Climax
There was an partridge who swallowed a creeper, BOOM! She busted of course, the end!
There was a partridge, a partridge who, after a rather eventful day, found herself in a predicament of truly epic, and frankly, quite plump proportions. She had, as you’ll recall, swallowed a pear. A perfectly ordinary, plump, juicy pear that had somehow, inexplicably, found its way down her gullet. And then, because one inexplicable act often leads to another, she’d swallowed a cat. A ginger tabby with a particularly mischievous glint in her emerald eyes, who’d wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside the partridge’s already crowded tummy. The cat, of course, had been gobbled up in a desperate attempt to get at that pear, which, let’s be honest, was probably long gone by then, mashed into a pulp somewhere in the vicinity of the cat’s twitching whiskers.
But the partridge, bless her feathery little heart, was not one to give up easily. Oh no. She’d then proceeded to swallow a dog. A scruffy terrier with a bark that could curdle milk, who’d been rather rudely interrupted mid-chase. The dog, with his wagging tail and enthusiastic slobber, was meant to *catch* that wriggling, jiggling, ticklish cat. And the cat, well, the cat was still in there, presumably still aiming for the pear. It was a culinary conundrum of the highest order, a digestive disaster in the making.
Then came the hen. A plump, clucking hen, who’d been minding her own business, scratching for worms in the dirt. The partridge, with a determined glint in her eye, had swallowed her whole, hen and all. Why a hen, you ask? To peck the dog, of course! That scruffy terrier needed a good pecking to get him moving, to make him chase that wiggly, jiggly, ticklish cat. And the cat, still on her pear-quest, was the reason for the dog’s vigorous pursuit. It was all spiraling, wasn't it? A feathered, furry, feathery, furry, feathery, furry ouroboros of gastronomic chaos.
