Cracks in the Facade
Sora's advice grows more extreme, urging Rosa towards dangerous paths. Rosa starts experiencing memory gaps after moments of intense anger, her grip on reality loosening as Sora's control tightens. Ji-woo tries to reach her.
The air in the gym, thick with the scent of sweat and determination, usually felt like a sanctuary to Rosa. The rhythmic thud of gloves on pads, the grunts of exertion, the metallic clang of weights – they were a symphony that drowned out the cacophony of her past. But lately, a discordant note had begun to creep in, a shrill insistence that grated against the hard-won peace. It was Sora, her constant, unseen companion, her shadow self, whispering ever more venomous advice.
"They’re looking at you, Rosa," Sora’s voice, a silken rasp that only Rosa could hear, slithered into her ear as she sparred with a patient, albeit slightly weary, training partner. "Smirk. They think you’re still the same prey. Show them."
Rosa’s knuckles tightened around the worn leather of her gloves. Her partner, a man named Ben, stumbled back, catching Rosa’s sudden, aggressive shift. His eyes widened fractionally. “Whoa, Rosa. Easy there.”
