The group steps through the door into the void, where the oldest one reveals the redirected bridge has created a new path—one that leads to the heart of the space between worlds. As they walk, the void responds to Elias's presence, and the oldest one offers a choice that could either seal the breach or open something far worse.
The door stood open, and beyond it, the stars pulsed like a living thing. Elias stared into the void, his breath catching in his throat. The scar on his palm was cool now, but he could feel it—a faint tug, like a thread pulling him forward.
“We’re not going in there,” Lena said. Her voice was sharp, cutting through the silence. “That’s not a room. That’s—that’s nothing.”
“It’s the oldest one’s space,” Elias said quietly. “The place between worlds. The bridge leads here now.”
