Corvus, with the pups by his side, must now return to his pack with news of the sanctuary. The journey back is quicker, fueled by hope and the promise of survival.
The air in the hidden valley hummed with a quiet magic, a stark contrast to the biting winds that had scoured Corvus’s feathers for so long. Sunlight, softened by a gentle mist, bathed the lush greenery in a warm, golden glow. It was a place of impossible plenty, where berries plumped on branches and plump grubs wriggled in the soft earth, all untouched by the harsh grip of winter. Beside him, Luna nudged his wing with her wet nose, a soft rumble of contentment vibrating in her chest. Ragnar stood a little taller, his ears swiveling, taking in the sheer abundance, while Willow tilted her head, a look of wonder in her gentle eyes.
“It’s real,” Corvus breathed, the words catching in his throat. The valley was more than he had dared to dream, more than the whispers of the wind had promised. It was a sanctuary, a vibrant heartbeat in the frozen world.
Luna let out a happy yip, her tail thumping a joyous rhythm against the mossy ground. “Real and wonderful! Oh, Corvus, you found it! You really found it!”
