The last of the berry mist had faded, and the sweet scent of cinnamon waffles still hung in the air. Scotty, his fur dusted with the remnants of cloud cream and Sparky’s nose still faintly sparkling, let out a happy sigh. He nudged his magical cauldron, which gave a contented purr. The sun, a warm, golden orb, began its slow descent, painting the sky in hues of apricot and rose. Scotty yawned, a tiny, puppy-sized yawn that stretched his jaw. Sparky, curled up beside him, was already dozing, his tail giving a sleepy little thump against the soft grass. The day had been a whirlwind of blue goo, floating pups, giggling gears, and singing waffles. It was the kind of day that filled a witchy pup’s heart with joy, and his little body with exhaustion. Scotty padded over to his favorite sunbeam, a patch of warmth that felt like a gentle hug. He circled twice, then flopped down with a contented groan, his head resting on Sparky’s soft, warm flank. The sweet, happy sun bathed them both, lulling them into a deep, peaceful sleep. The magical cauldron, content with its day’s work, sat quietly, its surface reflecting the soft glow of the setting sun, a silent promise of more whimsical adventures to come.
