Ghosties in the cauldron

Achoo achoo I made a boo boo..

Scotty giggled, feeling a tickle in his nose. He'd been adding a bit of “sparkle-dust” – a new ingredient he’d found shimmering in a forgotten corner of the pantry. He’d intended it for the brownies he was attempting, a recipe he’d found tucked inside an old spellbook. He’d added a pinch of pixie dust and a shamrock, just like the book said, and now he was adding the sparkle-dust. He took a deep breath, ready to recite the incantation, but before he could even utter the first syllable, a tiny, involuntary sneeze escaped him. “Achoo!” The sneeze wasn’t just any sneeze; it was a magical, sneeze-shaped puff of air that shot directly into the cauldron. “Achoo, achoo,” he sputtered, his eyes watering, “I made a boo boo!” The cauldron, instead of grumbling or bubbling, let out a series of faint, wispy sighs. Then, from within the depths of the mixture, little translucent shapes began to form. They were small and round, with faint, glowing eyes and little wavy arms. They looked… like tiny ghosts! And they were giggling, a faint, tinkling sound like wind chimes made of ice.
