The world had narrowed to the rustle of leaves and the soft brush of air against their skin. Leo, Maya, and Sam, once so sure of their path through the familiar expanse of the park, now found themselves adrift in its deeper, forgotten corners. The trees loomed taller here, their branches laced together like ancient fingers, filtering the sunlight into dappled patterns on the mossy ground. The usual sounds of the park – distant laughter, the squeak of swings, the rumble of cars – had faded, replaced by a hushed stillness that seemed to hold its breath.

Sam, ever the anchor, felt a familiar knot tighten in his stomach. He glanced at his wrist, his fingers tracing the cool metal of his watch. The hands seemed to mock him, ticking away time in a place that felt unbound by it. "Leo," he began, his voice a little too loud in the quiet, "are you sure this is… right? We haven't seen that big oak with the swing in ages."

Leo, his gaze fixed on a dancing swirl of dust motes caught in a sunbeam, didn't immediately respond. The wind, his constant companion now, tugged at his hair, a gentle insistence that pulled him onward. It wasn't just a breeze; it was a presence, a playful nudge that promised something extraordinary. He turned to Sam, a small smile playing on his lips. "It feels right, Sam. Don't you feel it? It's like… like the park is showing us something new."
