Flicker's Funny Folly

Barnaby and Squeaky followed the trail of misplaced glitter, which, according to Squeaky, was the pixie’s signature sparkle. It led them deeper into the woods, past trees that seemed to whisper secrets to the wind and flowers that winked with dewdrop eyes. Barnaby, though still a bit worried about Grumble the Gnome’s lost hat, found himself chuckling at Squeaky’s antics. She’d dart ahead, then zoom back, her tail a blur of excitement, chattering about how this was the best kind of adventure – the kind with a good mystery and a chance for some giggles.

“Are you sure it’s a pixie, Squeaky?” Barnaby asked, tripping slightly over a particularly mossy root. “Pixies are awfully… well, pixie-ish.”

Squeaky paused, a perfectly roasted acorn halfway to her mouth. “Of course, it’s Flicker! Who else leaves a trail of sparkle like a disco ball on a bad hair day?” She popped the acorn into her cheek, her eyes twinkling. “And Flicker *loves* a good prank. Especially on Grumble. He always gets so… gnome-y about things.”
