The Whispering Woods had never whispered so loudly. It roared, it chortled, it practically guffawed. The air, once thick with hushed solemnity, now vibrated with unrestrained mirth. Trees swayed not with the wind, but with the sheer, unadulterated joy that bounced from leaf to leaf. Flowers, which had previously drooped with an air of profound contemplation, unfurled their petals in a riot of cheerful colors, practically winking at passersby.

Lily, her face flushed with the sheer delight of it all, found herself giggling so hard her sides ached. She’d never seen anything like it. He wasn't just chuckling; he was letting out deep, rumbling belly laughs that shook his stout frame. He’d even managed to spill a bit of his tea during one particularly vigorous paroxysm of mirth, a fact that would have sent him into a sputtering rage just hours before. Now, he merely wiped his chin with a paw and let out another hearty guffaw.
