The Sunken City's Riddle
The map leads them to a forgotten sunken city, guarded by ancient puzzles. Helene's quick wit is tested as she solves the riddles, uncovering the next crucial step towards the map's final location.
The water, once a shimmering expanse of sapphire, now swirled with a murky, emerald hue. Helene, perched precariously on Orion’s broad back, felt a tremor of unease ripple through her. Below them, the ruins of a city, long thought lost to the sea, began to materialize from the depths. Towers, once proud and reaching for the sky, now lay tilted and broken, draped in tendrils of seaweed like ancient, forgotten cloaks. This was the Sunken City, a place whispered about in hushed tones even by the oldest inhabitants of Roma Land, a place the Whispering Map had pointed them towards with an almost insistent, pulsing glow.
“Are you certain this is the place, Orion?” Helene asked, her voice a little breathless. The air here was thick with the scent of salt and something else… something ancient and still.
Orion hooted softly, his large, intelligent eyes scanning the submerged architecture. “The map does not lie, Helene. Its whispers led us here, to the heart of this drowned kingdom. It is a place of great power, and great secrets.”
