JOHN THE BAPTIST PREPARES THE WAY (Matthew 3:1-7,13-17) PREACHING: In those days John the Baptist was preaching in the wilderness saying, Prepare the way of the Lord make his Path straight. JOHN BAPTIST'S CHARACTER He was clothed in the camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist,his food was locust and wild Honey. DIVINE RESPONSE TO HUMANITY It is a Divine 's perspective way of Response towards mankind,by discipline,low profile,and submitting before the eyes of mankind. JOHN 'S FOOD WAS LOCUST AND WILD HONEY LOCUST REPRESENT Is a kind of Response he get from the unbelieved Pharisees and Sadducees of which,they oppose him by not believing his testimony and influence people.Because of their status in the society, that's why he approaches the Pharisees and the Sadducees by saying to them,Brood of vipers !who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? WILD HONEY We're the people who came from Jerusalem,Judea and all the region around the Jordan .Who went out to him and we're baptized by him,in the Jordan,confessing their sins.Therefore John the Baptist said to the Pharisees and Sadducees bear fruits worthy of repentance. JOHN BAPTIST 'S SUMMARY ILLUSTRATES •He baptise people with water as (Purification) for repentance. •He was preparing the way for the coming of the Lord. •He bears the witness and testimony about the kingdom of Heaven. •He came as a light to pave the way,and spreading the Gospel. JOHN BAPTISE JESUS •Jesus came to John at Jordan River to be Baptized to fulfill all righteousness. •After the baptism Heavens open,Holy spirit descended from Heaven. •A voice was Heared from Heaven said Jesus is beloved son. SATAN TEMPTS JESUS •Jesus was led up by the spirit into wilderness. •He was fasted forty and forty nights •He was tested to command the stones to become bread. •He was took up to the Holy city to throw Himself down •He was took up on a high mountain and shown all the kingdoms and their glory,and he was promised to bow and worship to own all on earth. JESUS BEGINS HIS GALILEAN MINISTRY LIGHT (MATTHEW 4:15 -16 -25) The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,by the way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan Galilee of the Gentiles. The people who sat in the darkness have seen a great light And, upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned. INTRODUCTION: Jesus ministry was started at the land of Zebulun. Beyond the Jordan, Galilee His ministry wasn't as usually as the primitive Religion,but was a ministry or reveal a light from the Darkness of this world. Jesus' s ministry open the people's eyes,and beware of their darkness of the people's eyes,and beware of their darkness of the shadow of death,that was surround.their life and began to embrace the light in their perspective life orientation. JESUS 'S PREACHING "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" FOUR FISHERMEN CALLED AS DISCIPLES BIOGRAPHY AND THE NAMES OF FOUR FISHERMEN •Peter, Andrew,James,John,were the fishermen who worked from their youth as fishermen. It was their duty custom as a professional due to their basic necessity of surviving in life. •They master the net,how it must be thrown,and how it can teared up, Useful,old not to be used anywhere. •They even know how to control the boat and dive at anycost of strong winds, know when it is the time of seasonal of fishing,And when there is nothing to be caught during their fishing activity. •They master the types of boat to be used in times of fishing,to load the weight,for the boat to flow above the sea water. ALL SICK PEOPLE WHO WERE AFFLICTED •Various Diseases •Demon possessed •Epileptics •Paralytics SUMMARY Jesus 's light was above the darkness of this world,He Heals all kinds of diseases, great multitudes follow him from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and beyond the Jordan. THE BEATITUDES(MATTHEW 5:3 - 11) JESUS TAUGHT HIS DISCIPLES 9 HEAVENLY PRINCIPLES 1.BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT •For their is the kingdom of Heaven. 2.BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO MOURN. •For they shall be Comforted. 3.BLESSED ARE THE MEEK •For they shall inherit the earth. 4.BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HUNGER AND THIRST FOR THE RIGHTEOUSNESS •For they shall be filled. 5.BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL •For they shall obtain mercy. 6.BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN HEART •For they shall see God. 7.BLESSED ARE THE PEACE MAKERS •For they shall be called sons of God. 8.BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO ARE PERSECUTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS 'S SAKE. •For theirs is the kingdom of Heaven 9.BLESSED ARE YOU WHEN THE REVILE AND PERSECUTE YOU,AND SAY ALL KINDS OF EVIL AGAINST YOU FALSE FOR MY SAKE. •Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven,for so they persecuted the Prophets who were before you. BELIEVERS ARE THE SALT AND LIGHT •SALT: Believers are the salt of the earth,Our deeds are the results of our actions in our daily perspective life.it reflects who we are. •SALT LOSES IT'S FLAVOR:If our out look is reckless,and careless no one will be convinced for our sake of iniquity. •LIGHT:Our deeds can reflects our inner man if we stay humble, Discipline,and Patient. •LIGHT INDER BASKET:If we deceive ourselves by the iniquities of this world,by pretending to be good in the day,but at night we are the hooligan none of our deeds will be hidden.one day we will be exposed, nothing is hidden beneath the sun. •LAMPSTAND:It gives light to all who are in the house,our rejection and deeds define our character on who are we before mankind,we will reap what we sow in life. CHRIST FILFILLS THE LAW •DESTROY THE LAW OR THE PROPHETS:Do not think I came to fulfill the law or the Prophets,I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. •BREAKS COMMANDMENTS:Whoever therefore breaks one of these commandments and teaches men so,shall be called least in the kingdom of Heaven. •TEACHES:But whoever does teaches them,be shall be called great in the kingdom of Heaven. •RIGHTEOUSNESS EXCEEDS:For i say to you,that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means to enter the kingdom of Heaven. DO GOOD TO PLEASE GOD •TAKE HEED:That you do not do your charitable deeds before men,to be seen by them. •CHARITABLE DEEDS :Do not sound a transport before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets,that they may have glory from men. •YOUR LEFT HAND AND RIGHT HAND: When you do charitable deeds,do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,that your charitable deeds may be in secret Father who sees may reward you openly. THE MODEL PRAYER (MATTHEW 6:5-17) •HYPOCRITES:And when you pray, you shall not be like hypocrites,for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and the corners of the streets to be seen by men. •HYPOCRITES 'S REWARD: Assuredly,I say to you,they have their reward which is nothing they will get. •WHEN YOU PRAY:Go into your room,and when you close your door,Pray to your Father who sees and will reward you openly. THE MODEL PRAYER •DON'T USE VAIN REPETITIONS:As the heaven do for they think that they will be heard for their many words. •MANY WORDS:For they think that they will be heard for their many words. •PRAY OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN: (MATTHEW 6:5 -14) •OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN *Your Hallowed be your Name •YOUR KINGDOM COME *YOUR WILL BE DONE •ON EARTH AS IT SISIN HEAVEN *Give us this day our daily bread •AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS *As we forgive our debtors •AND DO NOT LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, *But deliver us from the evil one •FOR YOURS IS THE KINGDOM AND THE POWER *And the glory forever.Amen FASTING TO BE SEEN ONLY BY GOD(MATTHEW 6:16 -18) •SAD COUNTENANCE: Moreover,when you fast,do not be like the hypocrites,with sad countenance. •DISFIGURE THEIR FACES:For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting,their reward is nothing/invain. •ANOINT YOUR HEAD AND WASH YOUR FACE:But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face ,so that you do not appear to men to be fasting. •REWWARD YOU OPENLY:But your father who is in the secret place,and your father who sees in secret will reward you openly. LAY UP TREASURES IN HEAVEN (MATTHEW 6:19 - 21) •EARTH TREASURES:Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth,where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. •HEAVENLY TREASURES:Where neither moth or rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. YOUR TREASURE:For where your treasure is,there your heart will be also. •THE LAMP OF THE BODY •THE LAMP:The lamb of the body is the eye,our conviction are the results of our eyes which means the way we see things. •THE BODY:If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. • BAD EYES:But if your eye is bad,your whole body will be full of darkness. •THE LIGHT:If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness? YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND RICHES(Matthew 6:24) •TWO MASTERS:No one can serve two masters,for either he will hate the one and love other. •LOYAL:Or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. •GOD AND MAMMON:You cannot serve God and the mamon. DO NOT WORRY (Matthew 6:25 - 28) •DONT WORRY ABOUT YOUR LIFE:Do not worry about your life ,what you will eat or what you will drink. •YOUR BODY:Nor about your body what you will put on. •LIFE:Is not life more then food and the body more than clothing. •SOW NOR REAP NOR GATHER:Look at the birds of the air for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns;yet your heavenly Father feeds them. •MORE VALUE:Are you not of more value than they? •WORRYING: Which of you by worrying can add one cubbit to his stature?so why do you worry about clothing. •THE LILIES OF THE FIELD: Consider the lilies of the field,how they grow, the neither toil or spin. •ARRAYED:And yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. •THE GRASS OF THE FIELD:Now if God so clothes the grass of the field,which today is,and tomorrow is thrown into the oven. •CLOTHE YOU: Will He not much more clothe you,O you of little faith? •WHAT SHALL WE EAT,DRINK,WEAR? Therefore do not worry, saying,what shall we eat?what shall we drink?or what shall we wear?for all these things the Gentiles seek. •YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER:For your Heavenly father knows that you need all these things. •SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD:But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,and all these things shall be added to you. DON'T WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,for tomorrow will worry about it's own things.sufficient for the day is it's own trouble. DO NOT JUDGE (Matthew 7:1 -5) •DO NOT JUDGE:That you be not judged, for with what judgement you judge, you will be judged. •THE MEASURE:And with the measure you use, it will be measure back to you. •THE SPECK IN YOUR BROTHER'S EYE:Do not consider the plank in your own eye?or how can you say to your brother,let me remove the speck from your eye,and look a plank is in your own eye? •HYPOCRIT First remove the plank from your own eye,and look a plank is in your own eye? •KEEP ASKING, SEEKING, KNOCKING (Matthew 7:7 -8) •ASK:and it will be given to you •SEEK:and you will find •KNOCKS:And it will be opened to you •RECEIVES:For everyone who asks receives THE NARROW WAY(Matthew 7:13 -14) •NARROW GATE:Is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life,and there are few who find it. •WIDE GATE:Is brad and is the way that leads to destruction,and there are many who go in by it. JESUS CLEANSES A LEAPER (Matthew 8:1 -4) •GREAT MULTITUDES:When he had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. •A LEAPER:And behold,a leaper came and worshiped Him. •CLEANSED:Saying "Lord,if You are willing, you can make me clean" •JESUS 'S HAND TOUCHED HIM:The Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying,"I Am willing,be cleansed " •LEPROSY WAS CLEANSED: Immediately his leprosy cleansed,And Jesus said to him,see that you tell no one ,but go your way,show yourself to the priest,and offer the gift that Moses commanded ,as a testimony to them. THE COMPASSION OF JESUS •TEACHING AND PREACHING:Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages , teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom. •HEALING:And healing every sickney and every disease among the people. •THE MULTITUDES:But when He saw the multitudes,He was moved with compassion for them. •WEARY AND SCATTERED: Because they were weary and scattered,like sheep having no shepher. •LABOURERS: Therefore pray the Lord of harvest to send out laborers int His harvest. •THE TWELVE APOSTLES •POWER:And when He had called,His twelve disciples to him,He gave them power over unclean spirits. APOSTLE 'S AUTHORITY AND POWER OVER THE EVIL SPIRITS (Matthew 10:1,5 -9) •To cast them out. •To Heal all kinds of sickness. •To All kinds of diseases. SENDING OUT THE TWELVE (Matthew 10: 5 -15) TWELVE APOSTLE'S COMMANDMENTS. ✓Do not go into the way of the Gentiles. •Do not follow the tradition and the way of men. ✓Do not enter a city of the Samaritans •Do not be amongst the evil doers ,be separated with their lifetyle and deeds. ✓But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. ✓But you may go to the suffering people,begge peopl,the blind, paralyzed, Crippled,sick, Hungry people. •Do not rely on the ideology, theology,Human standards, Tradition ot men, knowledge of a human capability. ✓HEAL:The sick,cleanse the lepers ,raise the dead ,cast out Demons.
