Chapter 5
The Rat's Gambit
Facing prison or worse, Joey makes the ultimate betrayal. He flips, trading his loyalty to the mob for a shot at survival. A made man becomes an informant, a dangerous game.

Everything about Vinny, his operation, his little pals. And maybe, just maybe, we can help you."
Help me. The word hung in the air, thick and cloying. Help me get out of this mess. Help me not end up face down in the Hackensack. Help me survive. The life I’d chased, the respect I’d craved, the wealth I’d hoarded – it all led to this damp, gray box, staring down the barrel of my own stupidity.
